Feature request: Please add a percentage number to the zoom (height, width) slider

Hello,

Every time after exporting & importing the database on the same phone after a factory reset, clean system upgrade or after moving to a new phone, I have to figure out again what is the right size of bar | qr codes for each store that I saved.
I can even remember for 1 store saved as every time I moved the slider and I found a working size, there was no number displayed next to the slider to know which value is good.

So, I would like to ask you 2 things:

1. Please also show a value next to the slider, let's say on the right side, for people used to Left To Right writing.
2. Save that value somewhere in the database in a way that works with exporting / importing feature too, so all the bar codes open at the saved size automatically after import.

If it's not too hard, it would be nice to be able to control the size of bar | qr code on the preview thumbnail too, as for some stores it works directly from there, without having to open them in a new screen.
Once the right (easiest to scan) size it found, then it could be left to always be displayed at the same size.

First off I want to state that the intended use for the backups is to switch from one device to another, as that's when most people will want this. I don't really want complicate the export too much for things that won't be relevant when you switch phone and with how much the sizes depend on the screen size in question, I purposefully didn't export the sizing data as it may be annoying when you switch device and the code is too small in fullscreen mode. I understand that data loss is also a big case. However, your case seems to be "very common phone factory resetting", which is not really something 99.9% of people do so I don't want to optimize for it (you know, single person project, lots of stuff to do always, got to draw a line somewhere). Maybe you'd want to look into something like Seedvault for backup up and restoring everything on reset, assuming you can run a custom ROM?

That aside, I'd be okay with exposing the slider sizes and importing them (especially because it's very simple), but I actually think it may be more sensible to go down the route of #3206 and get rid of the sliders altogether. So I'm not sure if this makes sense then. If #3206 turns out to not be a good idea, I can definitely expose this and import it when importing, it'd be a very small code change.

Given the plan of #3206 I don't really think it's worth spending the time to make more UI changes to that screen.

Sorry for forgetting to mention that the phone, on which I do wipe + factory reset and then upgrade to a a newer OS version is running LineageOS 23.2!

The wipe / factory reset is mandatory for a clean upgrade.
I tried a few weeks ago an upgrade from its Upgrader tool in the Settings app and it broke superuser / root permission, that is mandatory for some of the apps that I need so much, like the AFWall+ application firewall and the Skvalex call recorder.
This is unacceptable for me!
And of course clean upgrades are always better, so from now one I will do only clean upgrades of the OS, which require the wipe + factory reset step.

Similar to how I copy the DCIM folder, I could copy the folders of the apps that I want their settings and data to keep, if I knew which are all their folders and if I could access them all, but I don't and I don't think I can access them all, so I use the export / import feature they provide.

I never used Seedvault as I've never seen it anywhere in the LineageOS and even now, search for it in the app drawer and in the Settings app, I cannot find it.
I've only seen it mentioned on LineageOS in the first steps of the installation, asking me if I have a Seedvault backup, which looks like it's asking for an online one, as I cannot browser my phone in any way.
As a user, that has chosen LineageOS and AFWall+ for their extended privacy and security protection, I find it unacceptable to force me to use an online backup instead of an offline one!
So, even if it was easily findable to start the backup, I would still not use it as I don't like to upload my data anyware, no matter how many marketing terms I hear like, fully encrypted or E2E.
And users who have done it are areporting that might not be so good

The contacts and the messages could also probably not be exportable anyway, as I'm using the specific Fossify apps, which some of them have their own databases.

I prefer to backup and restore all the data from LineageOS to my Linux computer on the same phone with LineageOS 23.2.
But I also do it to another phone with the same LineageOS and to other 2 phones having their stock Android ROMs.

I think I understand the problem with the different screen size, but maybe some checkboxes could be added to the export / import steps to skip or ignore that data.
And I understand the single-man project having a lot of its place. It's OK.
I'm just creating issues / opening discussion just to leave some feedback on what bothers me and what I think it can be improved.
Like in this case, where I'm wondering if some checkboxes can be added to help with the different devices problem that could arise.
Or who knows, just a number with the valued the I stopped moving the slider, which I can remember for the next time or tell someone over the phone if they have problems with the database that I gave them at some stores. I can tell them what size works best with those scanners.

Feel free to implement whatever want, however you want and whenever you can!
I'm really grateful for such a great app, that does more than 90% of what I want and it's available on F-droid, which stands very well with my principles, for which I thank you very much!
