Option UAC in System tab

🚨 Problem Description

1. In the System tab, I can't understand why the UAC option causes a reboot of the PC (both under Win 10 and under Win 11). In addition, the GTweaks program located on the desktop disappears leaving only an icon that obviously doesn't work anymore.
2. Suggestion : In the settings, there are export and import buttons whose use is limited to a single modification.
   For my part, I would find it more interesting to be able to export all the modifications made, at least those
   which concern confidentiality and services. The goal, of course, is to transfer the same changes to another PC.

That's pretty strange and sounds like an antivirus conflict, though even that seems a bit odd. Changing UAC shouldn't require a reboot and definitely shouldn't delete the program. Most likely your antivirus sees the change as a threat, removes GTweak and leaves behind a broken shortcut.

Right now the Export/Import buttons only remember tweaks applied during the current session. Once you restart the utility that list resets and removing built in packages isn't included anyway. I could add a file that saves everything as you go so if the program closes unexpectedly you won't lose anything and you can pick up where you left off or add more instead of starting over from scratch. Is that what you had in mind?

I'll be home in August and will dig into this properly then.

I also found this very strange. This happened in virtual machines (without antivirus) and I reproduced the thing a second time to be sure that something I had done was not the cause.
My suggestion for the Export/Import buttons was intended to not have to reintroduce the same settings in another virtual machine or another PC, but to simply be able to import them. This is an option existing for example in the software WinaeroTweaker.

You can already do this. Apply your tweaks, hit Export, save the file anywhere you like, then just import it on any other machine. That's exactly how it works right now, so I'm not sure what you mean.
What exactly are you missing?

My idea is to allow you to make changes at ease, to first see the possible effects and when you are satisfied with making a global export. Currently, if we click on the Export button without having made at least one change it indicates that it does not make sense.

Makes sense now. A modular window to preview and edit the export list before saving. Thanks, I'll remember that.
