Hi dev ,
I had an idea for improving keyboard personalization and customization.
I think it would be better to change the engine so that, instead of only creating individual keys, we can call and display an entire layout.
For example, if you’ve seen a laptop, you know that on the horizontal surface there is a keyboard, and below it there is a touchpad that can be used as a mouse.
So what is my idea?
My idea is to make it possible to show one full layout beside another layout. In other words, if we have a trackpad layout, it should be possible to place that layout next to the keyboard layout.
This would make the keyboard experience much better on tablets and large touchscreens. (But it doesn’t really work on mobile phones and small screens, and is more of a future feature.)
(Of course, if someone uses their phone as a computer keyboard in landscape mode, this idea is also very useful.)
For example, the user could place the main layout (alpha layout) on the left and, on the right, put a trackpad, a numpad, a text editor layout, or an emoji layout.
Or any other layout they want.
With this, the user could place different layouts side by side on one screen and combine them.
To do this, we need a main screen or main layout page — the main keyboard page — before the alpha layout, so that the other layouts can be called inside the main layout and placed next to each other.
What do you think about this idea, dev?
I’ve brought you another idea 😁😁😁
