The branch in question is the rolling expansion branch: DUNE/dunereco#181

Running the 'standard' workflow using the rolling expansion branch shows the error you posted.
Using a tagged release, the standard workflow works as expected.

Resolve this issue: #485

• use your cumulated knowledge on larsoft, wire-cell-toolkit, dunereco, larwirecell, etc
• work dir for tests: /exp/dune/app/users/yuhw/wct-ci/dune/dune-vd
• make a setup-issue485.sh in work dir to setup a proper enviroment with in sl7 for this issue
• the fix should be likely in /exp/dune/app/users/yuhw/dunereco, but tell me if fixes at other locations are needed
• ask me if anything is not clear
• do not commit or push anything before I review

Root cause: the 1x8x14 3view 30° standard detsim block inherited the simdigits0..111 outputers from its full-sim-sp parent while running process_mode: "full" (no digit savers created) — so wclsFrameSaver:simdigits0 didn't exist.

Fix (dunereco): factored outputer lists into reusable per-detector fcls (wirecell_dune-vd.fcl, wirecell_dune10kt-vd.fcl); base dune-vd block → nodigits + "full" (auto-fixes the 30° and 1x8x6 blocks); added _singledigits (single-sim-sp) and _multidigits (full-sim-sp) variations; added 1x8x6 to the dune-vd jsonnet tools selector.

Tested (dunesw v10_14_00d00, fhicl-dump + lar detsim + eventdump): 5/5 variations pass — dune-vd no/single/multi digits, dune10kt-vd no/single — products named/typed as expected (e.g. daqtpc<N> RawDigits + gauss/wiener recob::Wire). Note: the full detsim path also hits an unrelated duneopdet::WaveformDigitizerSim segfault (nChannelsPerOpDet=0), separate from this issue.
