Snowside

Bitcoin security. Avalanche speed. A dedicated Avalanche Layer-1 for the eCash hard-fork.

What is Snowside?

Snowside is a dedicated Avalanche Layer-1 blockchain built to host Paul Sztorc's upcoming eCash hard-fork. It runs as a clean EVM sidechain where the native gas token is BTC — no new tokens, no pre-mine, just Bitcoin security via blind merged mining.

Key Features

  • Native BTC gas — transaction fees paid in BTC via blind merged mining (BIP-301)
  • Sub-second finality — Avalanche Snowball consensus
  • USDC bridging — native Interchain Messaging (ICM) from C-Chain
  • Full EVM compatibility — Remix, Hardhat, Foundry work out-of-the-box
  • Automated validation — powered by NodeRunr
  • No token. No ICO. — infrastructure, not an investment vehicle
