…and the extension is split with a pattern in the middle. For example, you can now pass `log_patterns=["{rel_filename_without_extension}_[0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9]{file_extension}"]`. This change is backward compatible by looking for the presence of %s to see if one should use old style or new style formatting.
