Absolute Johannes factotum
- SCP-4460 (?)
- SCP-4460 is an old, five-story factory in Nebraska with eight basement floors, appearing abandoned but surprisingly well-maintained above ground, despite containing items from various historical periods. The underground levels show significant age and wear, yet their machinery functions perfectly, and personnel experience localized, earthquake-like vibrations every 1-2 hours, which they perceive as laughter. Deeper within the facility, particularly from the sixth basement floor downwards, a shadowy, headless humanoid entity designated SCP-4460-A appears in reflective surfaces; it has a small replica of the factory where its head should be. This entity, which is not hostile, tries to interact with people by making unnerving, rudimentary jokes and gestures, and if anyone leaves the factory after encountering it, a projection of SCP-4460-A and its noises will follow them, appearing in any reflective surface within 20 meters.
- Baby Jesus theft (?)
- Baby Jesus theft refers to the recurring, often seasonal, stealing of infant Jesus figurines from outdoor public and private nativity displays, primarily during the Christmas season. This "enduring (and illegal) practice" is frequently attributed to pranks by bored teenagers, though sometimes the figurines are resold or defaced. To combat these thefts, owners have resorted to security measures like GPS devices, surveillance cameras, or even removing the baby Jesus from displays until specific times. While largely seen as pranks, the acts raise questions about anti-Christian sentiment or a "ritualized challenge" to Christmas norms, highlighting how the sacred object is also protected as property.
