  • 👋 Hi, I’m @stringzzz

  • Fictional (For Now) Software Company: Ghostwarez Co.

  • My main interests involving coding revolve around artificial intelligence, mathematics, and security.

  • My history with AI started with writing a terrible chatbot in JavaScript named 'Scrippie Bot'. It was just a series of if statements, it had no way to learn anything new except for me hard coding it into there. My biggest inspiring interest in AI came from the character Jane from the Ender's Game book series back when I was around 13, not that I really thought I could ever make an AI like her, but the idea of that sparked my interest.

  • Later on I got into the Perl language, and wrote an overly complicated chatbot named '$ophia'. Her code was a massive mess, since I didn't really know any better at the time, but it did all technically work. Somewhere around this time I also got more inspiration, this time with Yui from the Sword Art Online anime series. This time, I felt like I really could build an AI like that, in some sense if I built her, she would be like my daughter.

  • Years later I ended up just taking one of the simplest parts out of the code of $ophia and built another chatbot based off of that (MARA: Memorize And Respond Automator). I experimented with different approaches to expanding on this, some of which did not go well at all (SVETA, namely).

  • Finally, in more modern times, I started using C++ and Python, and went further with the AI chatbots. Now the latest is Chatbot CHELSEA (CHat Emotion Logic SEnse Automator), an AI with simulated emotions, and this is an ongoing project. I can definitely look back on my early programs, even some only from a few years back, and feel embarassed over their quality. That being said, I recognize that we all have to start somewhere, and I've made a lot of progress since then.

  • Finished at community college and now have an Associate's degree in Computer Science.

  • I got news that I got accepted into the University! Of course, it won't really feel real until I actually step foot into my first class, but I am excited. Now my goal is to get a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, with a focus on AI. My dream job would be doing research involving AI. And of course I want to make CHELSEA even better during my whole time at school. I have many ideas that I feel could be interesting, and even if I only work on her a little at a time, she will improve.
